How to Calculate Stiffness, Centering Force, Wear and Fatigue Failure of Spline Couplings

An effective side interference condition minimizes gear misalignment. When 2 splines are coupled with no spline misalignment, the maximum tensile root stress shifts to the left by 5 mm.
